Die Region um den Reflexionsnebel IC447 im Sternbild Monoceros. Die gesamte Gegend ist von Gas und Staubschwaden durchzogen. Im Bild sind ferner die kleineren Reflexionsnebel NGC2245, NGC2247 und IC446 zu sehen. Der rote Nebel links ist ein Ausläufer der Konusnebel-Region, welcher ein Stück westlich liegt. Links unten sieht man noch den reichen Sternhaufen Trümpler 5. The region around the reflection nebula IC447 in the constellation Monoceros. This area is filled with gas and dust clouds. Also visible in this image are the smaller reflection nebulae NGC2245, NGC2247 and IC446. The red nebula left are the outer regions of the HII region around the Cone nebula that is located a bit to the west. In the lower left corner you can see the rich open cluster Trümpler 5. |
